Hall of Famer "Orator Jim" O'Rourke is the second-oldest player to hit safely in a game, at 54 years old, one of just six players to appear in a game after 50.  The 1904 game in which he hit was the game in which the New York Giants clinched the pennant.  O'Rourke batted .310 lifetime, capturing the 1884 batting title with a .347 average.  He was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Old Timers Committee in 1945, clearly one of the greats of the 19th Century.  The image quality on this example is extremely strong for the issue, the card clean with some mild soiling on the reverse.  Trimmed vertically, PSA has encapsulated the card with an AUTHENTIC grade.
