Exceedingly rare regional issue produced in 1906 to honor the 1905 AL Champion Philadelphia Athletics. Each card in the 20-card set is found today in limited quantities so limited in fact that hobbyists once theorized that the cards were never commercially distributed. To date just five examples of the Cross card have been graded of just 75 cards from this issue in total. This example has been graded PR 1 by PSA largely due to tack holes at the top of the card. The pinholes aside the card is actually in fairly remarkable shape a slight stain in the upper-left and general corner wear being the only major flaws. The image of Cross - and a classy image it is - is unblemished and the card itself is postally unused. A very rare and desirable card.
