Presenting a fairly obscure card of Larrupin' Lou Gehrig, in a pose not often seen, from what may constitute the strip card set with the largest cards ever produced, 1930's W554. The set's checklist appears to be complete at 18 subjects, with Gehrig, having either a blank back or one that has a prize offered. Graded PSA 2, this is a hand cut card that looks like it was taped up at all four corners at some point in its long life. The tape has been removed, somewhat carefully, but there is some loss at each point and some residue has been left behind, with some foxing in the borders. The image is clean though, well-developed and well-contrasted-it's a smart looking card. The reverse, is blank with some accumulated dirt here and there, lightly adhering.
