Harry Stovey was a star slugger from 1880 through 1893, playing in both the National League and American Association. Old Judge liked him so much they included eight poses of him in the set we know as N172. Identified as pose 440-7 by Miller, Gonsowkski and Masson this SGC Authentic card has an unfortunate loss to the frame on the left side, intruding into the image of the Athletics outfielder.  All is not lost though, as the image is a well developed and deeply contrasted one, on a card that just has some foxing otherwise, primarily on the reverse.
