Rare N172 Old Judge Proof cabinet from the Merritt & Van Wagner photo studios of Washington, DC, featuring third baseman Pete Sweeney.  Corresponding with card #451-4 in the N172 Old Judge Cigarettes set, this cabinet appears in outstanding condition, with a clean image marked by some light foxing near the edges.  The reverse exhibits some adhesive staining, likely from scrapbook mounting, along with some light foxing.  Sweeney's name is written twice in pencil on the reverse.  A rare proof from a seldom-seen studio.
