Bright and clean caramel card of Christy Mathewson, with an extra "t' thrown into his last name for effect! This image has always mesmerized collectors, with its rolling bands of color and Matty's confident pose all adding up to one fine piece of old cardboard. Product staining is seen in the lower border as oriented, with some creasing seen coming in from the right side and rounded corners are present.  The surface remains bright and the card is well-proportioned.  The reverse is foxed in several swaths and there is a slight loss of ink on he word "BALL" but for the grade, this is an extremely strong specimen.
