Ted Williams was an avid sport fisherman, perhaps the most famous person to ever take up the pursuit.  He endorsed many products that pertained to this lifelong pastime and has signed this five year contract with the Horton Bristol Manufacturing company using a blue fountain pen on onion skin paper. He started to sign as "Ted" then crossed it out and re-added it as a familiar in the middle of his full signature, which is steady, dark and well-inscribed. Company President Graham Treadway has also signed, in black fountain pen and a note of approval has been added by Fred J. Corcoran, known as "Mr. Golf" and who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1975.
