Muhammad Ali is perhaps the most famous American public figure, an inspiration to millions and one of the greatest boxers of all-time. Born Cassius Clay in Louisville Kentucky Ali won the world heavyweight championship by defeating Sonny Liston in 1964 and shortly thereafter joined the Nation of Islam and changed his name. Ali"s conversion to Islam and subsequent refusal to enter the draft famously resulted in his being denied a boxing license during the prime of his career. Published by the Institute of Islamic Information & Education of Chicago this small 3.5" x 8.5" pamphlet displays Ali's signature towards the top in blue ballpoint. Areas of staining are present throughout the pamphlet both to the the cover and interior pages and a scuff runs from the right edge up to the second L in "Really." An unusual and interesting collectible from one of the most famous individuals of the 20th Century. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
