Bill Skiff played briefly for both the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1921 and the New York Yankees in 1926, appearing in 22 games in the major leagues. Perhaps more interestingly Skiff played in parts of 19 seasons in the minor leagues for clubs located just about everywhere from New Jersey to Kansas City, Los Angeles, Toronto and elsewhere. Following his playing days Skiff managed in the minors for 14 seasons between 1933-51 before later becoming a scout for both the New York Yankees and Seattle Pilots. The offered collection of travel tags hails directly from the estate of Mr. Bill Skiff and includes four Yankees-related tags plus one Seattle Pilots tag along with a small Seattle Pilots patch. 6 Skiff related mementos total.
