Stunning card from the popular 1948 Leaf set, one of the notoriously difficult short prints.  Though the card has been graded EX 5 by PSA, a grade that could be considered high-grade for this issue, we draw your attention to the incredible coloration and detail in the printing.  1948 Leaf cards are notorious for print and color deficiencies, and most examples of this card are plagued by such issues.  A quick comparison with other examples will show a lack of blue striping in Wyrostek's uniform; the piping on most example of this card is simply missing.  In this case, the blue is clear and well-struck, and the depth of blue ink is also visible in Wyrostek's cap and Cubs logo.  A stunning example, consigned from the collection of a dedicated 1948 Leaf collector with deep knowledge of the set and its condition issues, who searched far and wide for an example this superb.
