Strip cards are having a bit of a moment lately and the W519 series offers some of the better looking cards and poses from these extremely fragile and ephemeral sets. Three types of W519's have been identified and this one, of Hall-of-Famer George Sisler, is designated as a numbered type 1. By far the nicest example of this subject in both the SGC and PSA pop reports, this age-defying Sisler has a mellow yellow background and a fabulous image of the smiling first baseman. Cut wide left and right, the original cutting guide remains at top left and the manufacturer's information runs down the right side. The back is clean and the whole package is quite amazing for a card made out of cheap pulp and hailing from over a century ago.
