Buffalo Bill Cody remains firmly etched in the American psyche, thanks to a self-burnished legend and decades of touring his Wild West Show. An Army veteran who was awarded a Medal of Honor in 1872, he started his famous traveling Wild West Show in 1883 and toured North America and Europe for many years with it. He was featured in some early silent movies and was considered to be the biggest celebrity on the planet at the height of his fame. This PSA 4 example of his desirable N162 Goodwin Champions card and features an exquisitely rendered pose of Cody, with an evocative background, vivid color, nice corners and fairly good centering. The assigned grade is explained by the paper loss on the reverse. N162's are very tough to find in nice shape and only seven cards are ranked higher in the PSA pop report, with none exceeding a 6.
