***NOTE*** It has been brought to our attention from a very reliable source that the Jacob Ruppert autograph on this document was actually signed by team secretary and Hall of Famer Ed Barrow who often signed such documents on Ruppert's behalf. Please bear this in mind and bid accordingly. Walter Beall pitched for parts of five seasons with the Yankees between 1924-27 with three additional games in 1929. His 1926 season was probably his best as he threw 81.2 innings in 20 games finishing the season with a 2-4 record and a 3.53 ERA. His 1925 season was not quite as auspicious seeing him pitch just 11.1 innings in eight games with a 12.71 earned run average. Beall found himself a member of the St. Paul Saints club in 1925 a team with which he did not pitch an inning. We do not know why but we do know that the Yankees purchased the rights to Beall in July of 1925 exchanging $300 for the rights to recall Beall during the 1925 season. This contract signed by Beall along with St. Paul owner Bob Connery and Yankees Owner Jacob Ruppert remains in presentable condition mailing folds the primary condition issue unrelated to the writing and other markings directly on the contract. The Rubbert signature is bold and legible as is that of Connery. Another outstanding piece featuring the bold signature of new Hall of Famer Jacob Ruppert.
