Distributed in 1952 on packages of Tip Top brand bread the "bread labels" of that year were a 48-card set that features a black and white player image set into a star surrounded by a deep red border. These are tremendously rare today even more so when still affixed to the bread bag ensuring the entire label is still intact. Today complete sets of Tip Top labels are relatively unseen selling well into the five figures in the most collector-grade conditions. Presented is a single example of Ken Raffensberger still attached to its bread wrapper. While it does exhibit age-related wear the overall condition is still very strong much more appealing than many of the surviving examples from this issue. One of the key rarities in this entire auction.
