Connie Mack's dynastic 1929-1931 Philadelphia Athletics were a powerhouse, finishing 314-143 in that three year span with three American League pennants and two World Series championships to show for it. Captured on September 18, 1930 according to paper caption on verso, the offered 8" x 10" photograph depicts key members of that feared Athletics lineup, including three of Mack's future Hall of Famers in catcher Mickey Cochrane, outfielder Al Simmons, and 22-year-old first baseman Jimmie Foxx. Joining them to the far left of this image is outfielder Bing Miller whose two-out walk-off double clinched the 1929 World Series for Philadelphia. A small portion of the upper-right corner is missing with typical light wear and small areas of creasing present to outer extremities of photo. Quality of central image remains superb with all four men depicted at what appears to be Comiskey Park in Chicago. Verso displays large Pacific & Atlantic credit stamping identifying them as the issuing service. Authenticated and Encapsulated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
