Three 8" x 10" examples of aerial action photography illustrating plays from the 1921 World Series. In a best-of-nine affair the New York Giants defeated their American League counterparts, the New York Yankees over the course of eight contests. It was Babe Ruth's first World Series as a Yankee, the first time two New York teams faced off in the Fall Classic and the first World Series decided in a single stadium. All three photos remain quite attractive with only the slightest of chipping worthy of note to the borders. Each displays a large International credit stamp on verso along with a paper caption describing the play depicted. Collection includes: 1) After being shut out in the first two games, shortstop Dave Bancroft touches home plate in Game 3 for the Giants first run of the series. Note that the paper caption states this is George Burns which appears to be in error. 2) Yankees left fielder, Chick Fewster slides safely back into first base during Game 6. 3) Giants outfielder, George Burns out at third while attempting to stretch a double into a triple in the bottom of the 5th with the scored tied 1-1. This game would end 2-1 in favor of the Giants with the Giants then winning 1-0 the following day to clinch the series. All three photos are guaranteed Type 1.
