Note: Further research has narrowed the possible dates for this ticket to 1907-08 based upon information found within ticket expert Dan Busby's detailed book on the topic.
Very early ticket stub from the (second) Polo Grounds, where the local cranks saw the feats of Christy Mathewson and company the only way you could back then, in person. This stub can be dated to the 1907-1910 period, as perforated tickets debuted in '07 and Giants Secretary Fred Knowles spent his last season in that role in 1910. Valid for Game #40 in one of those years, the stub was roughly separated at the gate, a common occurrence. The paper is in fairly nice shape and the text remains strong on both sides, which is somewhat unusual as this style of ticket can fade.
