1912 saw two distinct issues from Collins-McCarthy, with Home Run Kisses being the toughest of the two by far. Attractive, sporting a "satin" finish and issued without coupons, these are stunning cards when encountered in nice shape, which is exactly the case here as we see a depiction of William "Heinie" Heitmuller, who unfortunately died of typhoid before the calendar year was out. He did log 95 games across two major league seasons with the Athletics and was scorching the ball at the time he took ill. While the SGC pop report is a bit of a mess for this subject, this is the highest graded example at 5.5 in their database (PSA has a sole example in 2). Some corner rounding is the biggest driver of the grade here, on a card with strong contrast and brightness. The reverse has a couple areas that could be ink overspray or just some ancient product remnants.
