Pair of interesting original glass plate negatives depicting the Detroit Tigers exercising during World War I. Likely hailing from the Tigers spring facility in Waxahachie, TX where they trained from 1916-18, the pair features Tigers players in formation and being run through calisthenics by an instructor sporting a military uniform. Players immediately identifiable include Donie Bush and Harry Coveleski first from the left in the shot of the team lined up for inspection. Each negative measures 4" x 5" with intact emulsions and typical light chipping to the outer edges. Two negatives total.
