Notice of player release for Bill Skiff, a young catcher at the beginning of what would be a lengthy career in baseball as a player, manager and scout. In July of 1921, Skiff was released by the Pirates to the Kansas City Blues of the American Association, where he would subsequently play for three seasons. Team President Barney Dreyfuss (HOF) signed the release notice at the bottom right; the remaining components of the form were completed in an unknown hand. The piece remains in VG+ condition with a small corner clip at the upper-left, and some general weathering. The signature, writing and text on the piece all remain bold and legible. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
