Beautiful cabinet photo featuring bareknuckle prize fighter and Heavyweight Champion of England in the late 19th and early 20th Century, Jem Smith.  Outstanding image quality, with some spots of foxing throughout.  The mount, which exhibits some wear, has the printed caption "Jem Smith, 'Champion of England'" on the front, with an ornate ad for the W&D Downey studio of London on the reverse.  Some minor soiling is apparent on the mount.
