A New England lad born in Rhode Island, Max Surkont pitched three seasons for the Braves in Boston and that's where Topps captured him on a semi-high 1952 card before he and they took off for Milwaukee. The card seen here has some corner rounding and some light foxing in the upper right background. It's signed in blue ballpoint and is bit of a unicorn, garnering an almost impossible non-Sharpie grade of PSA/DNA 10 for the autograph. Signed 1952 Topps Surkonts are also a bit of a unicorn, with just 10 examples passing muster with PSA/DNA.
