The back of Tommy Holmes' semi-high 1952 Topps card describes him as an Ex-Manager in the information block, possibly the only time that's happened in the company's long history. After he was fired in May of 1952 the hard hitting Holmes took his bat to his native Brooklyn, where he played the last 31 games of his career. So he's shown and identified as a Brave thanks to the six weeks he spent managing them but only played for the Dodgers in '52. There is no such confusion over this gorgeous PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10 autograph, executed here in blue Sharpie. The card itself is bright and extremely colorful but only the signature has been graded here.
