Joe Black is a low-pop signed card in the 1952 Topps PSA/DNA database, with just five signed examples (this example is counted twice as of this writing) is one of the most difficult signed cards in the set. The NL Rookie of the Year with the Dodgers in 1952, he burned bright and hot before hurting his arm during the next season. Roger Kahn's study of him in The Boys of Summer was a memorable one and served to elevate his public profile. The AUTHENTIC PSA/DNA designation has been applied here, with nice a blue felt tip signature running up the left border. The card has some slight wear but the indelible image of Black resonates.
