Delong was one of several Boston based confectioners that issued small sets at the end of Prohibition.  They managed to put out a classic set for their lone effort, with 14 of the 24 subjects eventually ending up in the Hall of Fame, an envious batting average by any measure. Memphis Bill Terry, the last National Leaguer to bat over .400, was one of those fourteen, captured here in an SGC 5 holder.  The front has some staining and foxing issues that are especially noticeable in the yellow background, with a strong image of Terry. The reverse is pretty clean, with just a small amount of toning and ink spray evident.
