As with many surviving Old Judges this card of Kansas City's Dan "Ecky" Stearns features an attractive well-preserved front marred by back damage in the form of tape/glue stains resulting from being mounted in a scrapbook. It is that very scrapbook that preserved the front so well though and with blank-backed cards like N172s many collectors are willing to overlook such damage in favor of a strong image and sharper corners. This is the exact issue with this particular card graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to the aforementioned damage but boasting the appearance of a much higher grade card. Card 436-3. Population Data: SGC Population: 15 total graded 4 at this level 9 higher* PSA Population: 0 graded *Please note that SGC does not differentiate between N172 pose variations in their population reports so the number of cards with this pose they have graded is unknown. The figure above represents all the cards of this player they have graded with all poses.
