Green variety of Carl Hubbell's 1941 Goudey card, from the last year of the company's storied run of baseball cards. Giving hall of fame cachet to a set primarily loaded with stiffs and stumblebums, this R324's holder has some scratching that somewhat obscures how nice a card this is for the grade. 1941 Goudey's are notorious for all sorts of defects but this one has suffered less than many. Handled but not abused in its 80+ year life, the avocado green background remains bright, with only a slight area or two of foxing, some gentle corner wear and left edge border chipping intruding. The blank reverse looks great.
