In his first season with the Boston Red Sox, 2002, outfielder Johnny Damon provided an offensive spark, batting .286 with 14 home runs and 63 RBI and instantly becoming a fan favorite.  Two years later, as part of the "idiots," Damon would help the Red Sox win their first World Series since 1918.

Presented here is a home jersey as worn by Damon that first season of 2002.  The jersey was worn prior to July 5, 2002, the day Ted Williams died - after that date an armband was added to the jerseys.  The jersey is accompanied by a pair of non-matching uniform pants.  However, the jersey is certainly authentic, properly tagged and numbered for Damon.  Full LOA from MEARS, with a grade of A5.
