Pitcher Mike Hedlund had a 6-year major league career, his best season being with the 1971 Kansas City Royals, where he posted a 15-8 record and a 2.71 ERA.  Iii 1970 during winter ball in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, Hedlund set a league record for pitching 53 consecutive scoreless innings.  Presented here is a full Cleveland Indians home uniform dating to 1964-68, though Hedlund only broke in with the Indians in 1965.  While with Cleveland, Hedlund wore uniform numbers 41 and 36; the numbers 21 on the front and back of this jersey as well as the name "HEDLUND" printed on the reverse have been restored.  Hedlund played with Burlington, Pawtucket and Waterbury in 1964, 66 and 67, all three teams using the Indians name, so it is possible that the jersey was used there.  Regardless, the inconsistency and restoration of the lettering has resulted in a four-point deduction in MEARS' grading system, with holes and wear resulting in two more.  The final MEARS grade is A4.  Regardless, a great early Cleveland flannel example of their awesome sleeveless jersey.  Full LOA from MEARS included.
