Grouping of five PSA-graded cards from the condition-sensitive 1945-46 Caramelo Deportivo issue.  A 100-card set issued by a caramel company featuring players from the Cuban League, the place and white cards were printed on very thin paper, intended to be pasted into an album.  The set contains Cuban League players, many of whom were also stars in the Negro Leagues and major leagues.  Due to the flimsy paper and intended use of the cards, they are typically found in extremely low grade; of 802 cards graded by PSA, nine have graded higher than VG 3, and none higher than EX 5.  Collection includes the following: PSA FR 1.5 (2 cards): #71 Jose Zardon, #92 Agapito Mayor; PSA POOR 1 (2 cards): #81 Gilberto Torres, Mario Diaz; PSA PR 1 (MC - 1 card): #83 Hector Rodriguez. Rodriguez is a member of the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame.  Five cards total.
