Cards from the 1928 Exhibits issue are identifiable by their blue tone. A 64-card set borrowing many images and subjects from prior issues, there are 36 new photos in this issue, with a layout identical to the 1927 issue save for the color tint.
Attractive example of Cuban Hall of Famer Dolph Luque, graded EX 5 (MK). The MK qualifier is the result of an endearing addition to the card reverse, as a collector and fan carefully and neatly wrote in Luque's player biographical information, as well as his pitching record in the World Series. We love additions like this on the backs of Exhibit cards, as they certainly reduce the condition of the card but add character and historical significance.
