Gorgeous, high-grade N172 Old Judge card of Kansas City pitcher Frank Hafner (incorrectly identified on the grading label, and thus in our printed catalog, as "Bill").  Hafner managed just two major league games, enough to get him five different poses in the Old Judge set.  Hafner's card is among the tougher cards in the N172 issue, specifically listed among scarce cards in The Photographic Baseball Cards of Goodwin & Company 1886-1890 by Joe Gonsowski, Jay Miller and Richard Masson.  Old Judge cards of Kansas City players are desirable in and of themselves.  Extraordinarily high-grade, with lightly touched corners and a remarkably clear image.
