Original 5" x 7" Goodwin & Co. glass plate negative emanating from the "Vermont Find." First baseman Pat O'Connell is depicted in a dynamic fielding pose with the 1888 Omaha Omahogs of the Western Association. Interestingly, the "Omaha" lettering on O'Connell's uniform top has been etched away and the notation below his feet identifies him as a member of the Des Moines Prohibitionists though there is no record of him playing for that club. There is a paper label affixed with handwritten notations at top of the glass side of this negative.
