Original 5" x 7" Goodwin & Co. glass plate negative emanating from the "Vermont Find." Third baseman John Doran is depicted in a crouched fielding pose with the 1888 Omaha Omahogs of the Western Association. This image served as the source material for Burns' N172 Old Judge card numbered 131-3. As with the other Doran negative in this sale (in an upright fielding pose), just a small bit of brownish toning can be spotted in the corners of the negative while the central image remains stunningly crisp.
