Grouping of six Type 1 photos featuring the New York Yankees, all of which served as the source images for baseball cards in the early-mid 1920's. Group includes: Harry Harper (E121), Mike McNally (E120), Bob Meusel (E120), Derrill Pratt (E120), Jack Quinn (E120), Al Wingo (1925 Exhibits). All photos in this collection measure 6.5" x 8.5" with the exception of Pratt's example which measures 5" x 7". There is some minor waviness to the top and bottom edges across the group which is typical for news service photos of the era. Meusel suffers from several pinholes that have chipped away at the corners and he is outlined in grease pencil. McNally, Meusel, and Quinn include full paper tags on verso and all include International stamping identifying them as the issuing service. These photos are fresh to the hobby and originate from the archives of Photo File, Inc. where they have been stored for several decades until this offering. Guaranteed Type 1.
