Bronx native, Frankie Frisch "The Fordham Flash" has been captured in this 6.5" x 8.5" photo from International - a 1922 spring training shot that served as the source image for his 1923 V100 Willard's Chocolate card! Frisch spent 19 seasons in the majors, appearing in an incredible EIGHT World Series while accumulating four World Series championships (1921, 1922 with the Giants and 1931, 1934 with the Gashouse Gang Cardinals). One of the greatest switch hitters of all-time, Frisch was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947. Photo suffers from a 2" tear that extends from the top border to Frisch's right shoulder, though this does not detract from the attractiveness of the image. Bottom corners of this photo have flaked away and there is light smudging in the top right corner.
