Terrific 6.5" x 8.5" news service photo of Yankees Hall of Fame manager and former infielder Miller Huggins crouched by the dugout in 1921. Huggins was only five years removed from his playing days at the time of this photo and here he's clutching a glove as if retelling some of his past glory for photographers. Over the course of the 1921 season Huggins would lead his Yankees to their first AL pennant and first World Series, though they would lose to the New York Giants 5 games to 3.

Photo is in excellent overall condition with only a small crease in the lower left corner and a small spot of soiling within the bottom border worthy of mention. Verso exhibits mild toning but is otherwise clean and includes stamping from Keystone View identifying them as the issuer. Photo is fresh to the hobby and originates from the archives of Photo File, Inc. where it has been stored for several decades until this offering. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
