Pair of ticket stubs from the 1948 World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Boston Braves, including a stub from Game 5 - the only major league postseason appearance for Satchel Paige. Collection includes: 1) Game 4: 2-1 Indians victory, with a home run by Hall of Famer Larry Doby that wound up the game winner. GOOD condition with some edge wear and some light wrinkling. 2) Game 5: 11-5 Boston victory, with Satchel Paige becoming the first Black pitcher to appear in a World Series game. Pitching 2/3 of an inning, they would be the only postseason appearance for Paige's major league career. VG/EX appearance, but some light paper loss at the right edge on the reverse, a result of an irregular tear. Two stubs total.
