Outstanding ticket stub to Game 5 of the 1943 World Series, played October 11 at Sportsman's Park in St. Louis. The game was won by the Yankees, 2-0 on a Bill Dickey two-run home run in the 6th inning. Spud Chandler got the win for the Yankees, Mort Cooper with the hard luck loss. The wartime Series resulted in both teams' rosters being depleted; the Yankees won despite missing Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Phil Rizzuto and Red Ruffing. The stub appears in EX condition with some minor surface wear and rough edges from the perforations. An extremely attractive ticket stub.
