The 1934 Goudey issue features many beautiful cards and a wonderful design.  Ask ten collectors which card is their favorite from the issue, however, and the majority will likely respond with the #37 card of Lou Gehrig.  Simply an iconic card featuring the smiling portrait of the Yankee hero set against a bright yellow background, his own endorsement appearing below his portrait.  This is a particularly strong specimen, graded VG 3 by SGC due to light corner and edge wear along with some minor and unobtrusive surface blemishes.  Centering is typical for the issue, slightly low on the canvas.  An outstanding example of what is likely the most desirable card of the issue.
