Detroit Tigers mainstay Ed Willett captured tossing by photographer Charles Conlon at Hilltop Park in NY. Willett toiled for THREE pennant winning Tigers squads from 1907-09, going 37-23 during that span though the Tigers ultimately dropped each World Series to the Cubs in 1907-08 and Honus Wagner's Pirates in 1909. 8" x 10" photo presents exceptionally well with the only noticeable blemishes appearing to be some light corner wear and a heavy crease to the lower left corner originating by Willett's right foot and running to bottom edge. Photo is fresh to the hobby and originates from the archives of Photo File, Inc. where it has been stored for several decades until this offering.
