Endearing 6.5" x 8.5" news service photo of Washington Senators superstar Walter Johnson with two of his daughters. Johnson is pictured holding his newest daughter, Barbara in an oversized glove similar to those used by Senators coaches and baseball clowns Nick Altrock and Al Schact as part of their routine. Johnson's three year-old daughter, Carolyn appears to the left. This photo is but one of a number of images shot of Johnson and all five of his children that day. Photo remains in wonderful overall condition with only light scattered wear to the surface. Some waviness is present though that is quite common to press photos of this era. Verso includes stamping from Underwood & Underwood and exhibits light toning with handwritten notations and remnants of a paper tag at the bottom.
