Original photo of Bob Meusel of the Yankees as used to create his 1931 W517 strip card.  The photo, accompanied by the card, are professionally matted and displayed together in a lovely framed arrangement measuring approximately 17" x 14".  The photo of Meusel measures at least 5 3/4" x 7", though the matte prohibits us from examining its true size.  The photo is a beautiful portrait, crisp and clear with some silvering to the black background, particularly above Meusel's head.  Some editorial markings are visible outside the masked area of the photo.  Our policy of not removing items from frames prevents us from obtaining a PSA/DNA letter for this item, since PSA needs to review the reverse.  However, with the writing and markings clearly evident on the photo, it appears clear that this was the exact photo used to make the card.
