At the conclusion of the 1924 NFL season the 7-1-1 Cleveland Bulldogs were declared champions by league officials. Despite the Bears declaring THEMSELVES league champions, NFL officials upheld Cleveland’s regular season record, ruling the Bulldogs-Bears contest an exhibition game not to be counted.
