The E107 Briesch-Williams baseball card issue holds a special place for baseball card collectors as it is the first major set of the 20th Century and includes a cast of both 19th and 20th Century ballplayers.  Featuring sharp black-annd-white photographic images, the E107 issue contains 147 subjects and has become a popular set among advanced collectors due to the number of rookie cards of Hall of Famers, along with the overall scarcity of the cards.  High-grade E107s are virtually nonexistent, as the cards are frequently damaged and torn, with the cards often suffering from wrinkling, staining, paper loss and scrapbook damage.  In fact, roughly half the graded population of E107s have been assessed at a grade of GOOD 2 or lesser.  In the instance of this example of Chief Zimmer, the card has attained a grade of FAIR 1.5, due primarily to an upper-right corner clip.  Additional wear is evident throughout, though the image quality is strong.
