Trio of Sportsman's Park ticket stubs from the 1946 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox, won in 7 games by St. Louis.  Each of the three games were won by Cardinals pitcher Harry Breechen.  Collection includes the following:  1) Game 2 Stub: 3-0 Cardinals victory on October 7, behind a four-hit shutout by Harry Breechen.  GOOD condition due to some small, light pencil writing in the upper-right corner of the front of the stub.  2) Game 6 Stub: 4-1 St. Louis victory on October 13, another stellar performance by Harry Breechen.  VG/EX appearance with light edge wear.  3) Game 7 Stub: 4-3 Cardinals win on October 15, a third victory by Breechen.  In this game, Breechan came into the 8th inning in relief of Murry Dickson to preserve a 3-1 lead with runners on second and third, with no out.  He struck out Wally Moses and got Johnny Pesky on a lineup to right, but then Dom DiMaggio doubled in both runs to tie the game.  The Cards came back in the bottom half of the inning, Enos Slaughter leading off with a single.  Still on first base with two outs, Harry "The Hat" walker came to the plate and ripped a double to center.  Slaughter, off with the pitch, tore around the bases and made it home with what would become the winning run.  VG condition with some light wrinkling here and there.  Three stubs total.
