Attractive cardboard advertising sign featuring Yankees pitcher Joe Page endorsing the Wheaties breakfast cereal. Attractive imagery features a portrait of Page identifying him as a Wheaties eater for ten years. Professionally matted and framed to a finished size of 16" x 26" the piece exhibits more surface wear and fading than the Rizzuto piece featured elsewhere in the auction along with some moderate creasing and wrinkling here and there. Each of the four corners exhibits what appears to be a piece of clear or yellow tape applied diagonally across the corners. The presence of the matting and frame prevents us from examining the tape the edges corners or reverse to determine its origin; we can only assume the tape is affixed to the sign and is not some sort of framing device. Regardless the piece is quite attractive despite the wear.
