Grouping of eight official scorecards from New York Giants baseball games at the Polo Grounds from the 1930s. Collection includes: 1) 1931 Scorecard: Unused scorecard from a game against the Cubs. Hall of Famerrs listed in the scorecard include Lindstrom Terry Ott Hubbell Hornsby Cuyler and Harnett. EX condition some light wear in the interior pages. 2) 1935 Scorecard: September 1 game against the Phillies a 6-1 Philadelphia win. VG condition with some minor corner clips on the interior pages. 3) 1936 Scorecard: Difficult to determine the date of this game which appears to be a 4-1 St. Louis victory behind Dizzy Dean though that score does not seem to match up with any of the team's games from that season. POOR condition with significant wear brittle toned paper many tears and much paper loss at the edges the pages all loose. 4) 1936 Scorecard: Neatly-scored August 15 game against Philadelphia a 4-1 win over the Phillies behind the complete game pitching of Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell. VG/EX condition with some minor staining handwritten notations on the cover. 5) 1937 Scorecard: Unused scorecard for a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hall of Famers listed in the scorecard include Terry Ott Hubbell Waner Traynor Wagner Hoyt Waner and Vaughan. GOOD condition with a corner clip on the top edge of the cover otherwise strong. 6) 1938 Scorecard: Sloppily scored scorecard for a 4-2 Giants win over the Boston Bees on July 8. POOR condition each page torn loose the folds all torn in half and a tear on the back cover. 7) 1939 Scorecard: Unused scorecard for a game against the Dodgers dated July 1-2 on the cover. Hall of Famers featured in the scorecard include Hubbell Terry Ott and Durocher. Presents well though the binding has come loose and the pages detached. Seven scorecards total.
