Outfielder Hal Peck was the author of a 7-year major league career between 1943 and 1949 with the Dodgers Athletics and Indians. The 31-year-old Peck wore this beautiful size 40 7-button Wilson flannel jersey during the 1948 season for Cleveland's home games. Peck didn't get much playing time in 1948 appearing in just 45 games with 68 plate appearances batting .286 with eight RBI. Most of Peck's appearances were as a pinch-hitter as baseball-reference offers fielding records for just ten games for the season. This is likely the reason for the uniform's outstanding condition incredibly well-preserved with Peck's name stitched into the tag at the collar and all original lettering and patches securely in place. MEARS has assigned the jersey a perfect grade of A10. A tremendous jersey from the collection of Ted Patterson.
