Outstanding September 28 1895 issue of Sporting Life featuring the Indianapolis Hoosiers of the Western Association. The woodcut illustrations appear in composite form on the cover surrounded by a stylized border the player images surrounding a bust of manager Bill Watkins. The 24-page publication is somewhat brittle with age with minor tears at the edges and more pronounced tears and separaion at the spine. The publication does exhibit the telltale signs of horizontal and vertical folding which has long-ago flattened out certainly not disrupting the display value of the image.
